I wish I could have been there that first Christmas day,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

so that I could have seen the angels in all of their array.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I would have joined in singing as the angels sang that day, <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Praise to God almighty for our King is born today.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I wish I could have been there that first Christmas day,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

so that I could have seen the precious babe in a stable lay.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I would have bowed in reverence, and from my heart would say,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Praise to God almighty for our King is born today.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I wish I could have been there that first Christmas day,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I would have made Him a beautiful card and in the middle say:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I love you dear, sweet Jesus for all You’ve done for me,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

You have made it so my life is good for all eternity.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

And thank you for your sweet, sweet spirit of which has had a part<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

of showing me the way to live, of which I’ll not depart.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
